Hi friends, welcome to my – learn German review. I am just like anyone of you who needs or interests to learn German. My youngest daughter lives and works in Munich, and she married with a nice young man in 2005. Now they have two beautiful children, my grandchildren! Because my grandchildren speak in Germen most of time, so we hardly could play well! That’s make me quite upset. I decided to learn German well.
At first, I attended German class. About one month later, I don’t feel interested to class anymore. It’s quite difficult to remember the pronunciation of the new vocabularies correctly and more importantly there is no one can practice with me. That’s all make me lost confident to carry on learning process.
Thanks God, my friend recommended me Rocket German last year. This course effectively improves my oral German in two months times. I have no problems to talk, have fun with my grandchildren, even my son-in-law. Wow, I have wonderful time to be with my family.

My second choice is Rosetta Stone German courses. It is one of excellent learning programs that I ever enjoyed. I bought it before start using of Rocket German. Rosetta Stone learning system comes in audio CD, you only can play it in your PC, which I think is quite difficult to carry on well with all study and busy life. I prefer to Mp3 format that is very convenience to learn at home, driving or even during bathing. In fact, the course allows you to customize the lessons according to your goals, for instance, reading, writing, listening, or speaking. There is no English in the lessons. So you have to be forced to focus on learning new language like a child. It is quite enjoyable and fun program, but also might difficult to some others learners like me. Seems I don’t feel it is easy the way to learn language but without knowing the meaning at the same time. Then I decided to refund it after two months of trying. It is not that easy to learners like me and also who are busy with their work or family. Last thing need to be informed is that this course is very pricy. For the current Rosetta Stone Version 3: German Level 1, 2 & 3 set with Audio Companion would cost you more than 400 bucks. Be honest with you, I didn’t purchase this product. I lent it from one of my colleague to have a trial for about three weeks. Pimsleur course also consider as one of the best-selling in the market. Pimsleur Comprehensive German I in form of CD or audio CD, includes 30 lessons of basic grammar and vocabulary, 16 hours of real-life spoken practice, and a simple introduction to reading. It covers most basic daily life topics like asking for directions, information, introducing yourself and etc. Once I finished the German I, I still have certain difficulty to speak fluent German. That is made me very disappoint with paying out my time and effort. To me, the course is not so effectively learn German, quite narrow in topics, and there are not many new words.
